A centrifugal pump is a type of vane pump that relies on the rotating impeller during the rotation process. Due to the interaction between the blades and the liquid, the blades transmit mechanical energy to the liquid, increasing the pressure energy of the liquid and achieving the purpose of conveying the liquid. The effect of the rotating impeller on the liquid transfers the mechanical energy of the prime mover to the liquid. What are the energy-saving and consumption reduction measures for centrifugal pumps?
1. Improving the efficiency of centrifugal pumps
Step 1: Compare the selection plans of various suppliers during the selection process, and try to choose efficient solutions while considering cost-effectiveness.
Step 2: Assign certain professional personnel to supervise the manufacturing quality of key components that affect the efficiency of the water pump, such as impeller, pump body, pump cover, and deflector (vertical long shaft pump), especially controlling the wing shape, outlet angle, blade indexing, flow channel shape, and smoothness of the impeller, so that the delivered product is an efficient product under current production conditions.
Step 3: During the installation and debugging process at the production site, it is necessary to ensure that the pump foundation is solid, well aligned with the driving machine, flexible front and rear valve switches, reasonable pipeline layout design, safe and feasible on-site control, complete and accurate operation monitoring instruments, and ensure real-time monitoring of the pump operation process.
Step 4: During the long-term operation of the water pump, attention should be paid to the spot check of the equipment, and any abnormal situations should be reported immediately. During the normal minor repair and major repair cycle, all vulnerable parts should be inspected and replaced to ensure the long-term efficient and safe operation of the pump.
2. Optimize existing pumps
By adjusting the impeller diameter and pump speed, it will have an impact on the flow head and shaft power of the pump, but it will not affect the efficiency curve, so that the pump can work in the high-efficiency zone. The above adjusted flow and head have certain limits. If the working conditions change too much, the original pump may need to be considered for modification.
