Submersible pumps are a common type of pump in our daily lives, and they are used directly after purchase, neglecting safety issues. Today, let's learn about the ten basic safety operating procedures for submersible pumps:
1. The submersible pump should be installed in a sturdy basket and then placed in the water, or a sturdy protective net should be set around the pump. The pump body should be upright in the water, with a depth of no less than 0.5m. If used in water containing mud and sand, please purchase a dedicated pump.
2. Before the power supply is disconnected, it is prohibited to pull the cable or outlet pipe, and it is also prohibited to put the submersible pump into the water or lift it out of the water when it is live.
3. Submersible pumps should be equipped with protective neutral or leakage protection devices, and no one or livestock should enter the water surface within 30 meters around the pump.
4. The pre startup inspection items should meet the following requirements:
4.1. The water pipe is firmly tied.
4.2. Tighten the plugs for air release, water discharge, and oil injection.
4.3. The impeller and inlet joint are free of debris.
4.4. The cable insulation is good.
5. After connecting to the power supply, a trial run should be conducted first, and the rotation direction should be checked and confirmed to be correct. The running time outside the water should not exceed 5 hours.
6. The water level should be frequently observed for changes, and the distance from the center of the impeller to the horizontal should be between 0.5 and 3.0 meters. The pump body should not fall into sludge or expose the water surface. The cable should not rub against the wellbore to prevent cable leakage and short circuits.
7. After using a new pump or sealing ring for 50 hours, the water seal plug should be opened to check for water and oil leakage. When the leakage exceeds 5ml, a 0.2mpa air pressure test should be conducted to identify the cause and eliminate it. Afterwards, it should be checked once a month. When the leakage does not exceed 25ml, it can continue to be used. After inspection, the specified lubricating oil should be replaced.
8. Before using the oil immersed submersible pump for the first time after maintenance, a 0.2MPa air pressure test should be conducted to check for any leaks in all parts, and then lubricating oil should be added to the lower casing.
9. When the temperature drops below 0 ℃, after stopping operation, the submersible pump should be removed from the water and wiped dry before being stored indoors.
10. The insulation resistance of the motor stator winding should be measured once a week and its value should not decrease.
